Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick will be hosting another virtual town hall Tuesday to discuss COVID-19 concerns in the community.

Tuesday's town hall meeting will focus on how education in the community is impacted by the virus, and it will include School District 23 Chair Moyra Baxter and Superintendent Kevin Kaardal.

The town hall is the third in a series of virtual meetings Letnick has hosted. Last week, he held one focused on healthcare issues, with Interior Health CEO Susan Brown and chief medical health officer at IH Dr. Sue Pollock.

On Saturday, Health Minister Adrian Dix took a moment during his daily COVID-19 press conference to recognize the efforts of Letnick, who's the BC Liberal's health critic.

“I want to acknowledge, last night in Interior Health, the work of the opposition health critic Norm Letnick who hosted an event last night with Susan Brown, the president of the Interior Health authority, and Dr. Sue Pollock,” Dix said. “(It) shows our joint commitment of the work that we need to do together.”

Those looking to participate in Tuesday night's town hall meeting can register here. The one-hour meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., and it will be live streamed on Castanet.
