RCMP have laid charges after a bus driver was assaulted

A 29-year-old Kelowna man is now in custody facing charges after an alleged assault on a bus driver which took place Saturday just after 4 p.m.
The incident happened in the Queensway Bus Loop in Kelowna where a BC Transit bus driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit officers attended the scene and arrested 29-year-old Kelowna resident, Dustin Webber.
"The BC Prosecution Service has approved a charge of assault in this matter. He remains in custody at this time," says Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
