KGH Foundation launches White Heart Project to show support

White hearts for health staff

To show gratitude for the healthcare workers during the COVID-19 crisis, the KGH Foundation is asking residents to post a white heart in your window or on your front door.

KGH Foundation posted the announcement on its Facebook page, adding they hope locals will appreciate and engage with the grassroots White Heart Project as a way of sharing hope.

"Like you, we at the KGH Foundation are trying to find ways to process all that is happening in our world and community. We have retreated to our homes. We are figuring out how to live and work in isolation. Distanced ourselves from friends and neighbours.

"Amidst all the changes, there have been moments of pause. In these moments, we have asked ourselves, ‘what can we do?’ Even though the doors are closed, our hearts remain open. We know you feel the same."

If you would like to send a message to health care workers, staff will write your words on a white heart and display it within the hospital for healthcare workers to read.
