Mohini Singh On The Move

CHBC News reporter Mohini Singh is on the move.

She's giving up TV for radio and will soon be heard reading the morning news on the CBC.

"I'm very excited about the new move. It's a challenge. It will be a new environment. I know all the people who I will be working with and they're a nice group," says Singh.

She joined CHBC News in 1989 and worked in news radio in Penticton and Vancouver before switching to TV.

Singh says she'll miss TV.

"I am going to miss everybody at CHBC and I'm going to miss the medium of television, but change is good."

Singh will be heading to Vancouver shortly for training and will be on the air sometime in mid-April. Her audience includes the Okanagan, Kootenays, Northern and Central BC.

CHBC News is also losing another reporter. Colin Basran, based in Penticton, is leaving TV News and getting into the real estate business.
