Stuart Park's outdoor skating rink officially closes Tuesday

Last chance to skate!

Grab your skates. Your last chance to skate at Stuart Park is tomorrow.

The outdoor season is coming to an end as spring is on its way in Kelowna, so the outdoor rink will official close Feb. 26.

“We know just how beloved the Stuart Park rink is and we try and extend our skating season as long as we can,” says Steve Fagan, arenas and stadiums supervisor. “But with the warmer weather we’ve been having the last few weeks, the ice surface can no longer be maintained.”

Along with the rink's closure, the nearby fire pit will also be turned off until next season.

Residents can look forward to Dancing in the Park which returns this summer on Wednesday evenings throughout July and August. Retro Roller Night also returns for those roller skating enthusiasts.
