Friends have started a GoFundMe for injured Kelowna musician

GoFundMe for musician

Friends and family of a Kelowna musician and carpenter, James Reid, who is recovering in hospital after a brutal assault in downtown Kelowna on November 30, 2019 have started a GoFundMe to help with his medical expenses.

Reid received a severe head injury that almost killed him, leaving him with a fractured skull and bleeding in his brain. Reid has been in the critical unit of Kelowna General Hospital since the assault.

His family indicates he is showing signs of bouncing back, but doctors say his road to recovery will be a long one. Reid is looking at months of rehabilitation and medical procedures to treat his brain injury. They are hopeful Reid will make a full recovery but may not ever be able to work again.

The post also has a link to some of Reid's music which is also available for purchase if you would prefer to support him that way.

The page was created on December 2, 2019 and has raised $3,700 of its $50,000 goal.
