Cram the Cruiser in its 8th year for Lake Country Food Bank

Cram the Cruiser for others

'Cram the Cruiser' is back for its eighth year in support of the Lake Country Food Bank.

Kelowna and Lake Country Mounties along with the Lake Country Fire Department will be out in force once again this Saturday to invite the public to cram a police cruiser full of much-needed donations to help those less fortunate.

“It is such a great honour to be able to host this event year after year, for the Lake Country Food Bank,” states Const. Solana Paré.

“We look forward to this event every year because it is a chance for our community’s police officers and fellow first responders to meet the public and come together."

Cram the Cruiser will be accepting non-perishable food donations, hygiene products, children’s toys and cash to solely benefit the Lake Country Food Bank.

Anyone who makes a donation is given the opportunity to enter their name into a draw for prizes.

This year’s event will be in the Save-On-Foods parking lot in Lake Country from 9 to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Since its inception in 2012, Cram the Cruiser has raised a total of approximately 13,000 lbs of donated items and just over $35,000.
