Jim Hamilton to stay on at Okanagan College until 2021

Okanagan College's Jim Hamilton is set to retire – but not just yet.

Hamilton will serve as college president for the next 15 months.

College board of governors chair Chris Derickson announced Monday that Hamilton, who is B.C.’s longest-serving post-secondary president, has agreed to an extension that will see him carry on in the role until Jan. 29, 2021.

The Vernon resident has been Okanagan College’s president since 2004.
