Excitement builds for Nov. 28 opening at Big White Ski Resort

Big White is living up to its name, with a fresh blanket of the white stuff overnight.

And that can only mean one thing – ski season is getting closer.

"We’re so excited up here we couldn’t sleep, so we went out and measured 19 centimetres and still snowing as of 11 p.m. Sunday night," says resort vice-president Michael J. Ballingall.

The resort's downhill season opens Nov. 28.

Opening weekend activities will include live music in the village

Live Music in the Village by The Heels, a Christmas light up, fireworks, and free hot chocolate.
