Packer's Junction to include residential and commercial units

Powerhouse site on the rise

Kelowna's North End is buzzing with construction activity.

PC Urban launched its Powerhouse project this past week – a 56,000-square-foot commercial development at the intersection of Clement and Richter.

Powerhouse is the fourth project the company has developed in Kelowna in the past seven years, and is part of the larger Packer's Junction development, which also includes 19,000 square feet of retail space and 158 residential units.

Sales for the two-building Powerhouse development have begun, and the residential units are expected to be available for occupancy in early 2021.

Royal LePage Kelowna broker Steve Laursen says he has been very encouraged by the level of interest shown from local businesses, who are keen to "own their little piece of Kelowna."

“We are offering a rare opportunity for local businesses to purchase high-end, funky, office and retail strata space in the Yaletown of Kelowna. This is something that really appeals to local businesses and investors that want to own their own real estate in the new village of downtown Kelowna’s North End.”

"To have all four asset classes on such huge piece of property is really very rare," says PC Urban marketing and communications director Louise Tagulao. "The city challenged us to be that transition zone between what we were doing, what developments are happening across the street, and all of this, so we really took that challenge to heart and that’s how we came up with this multi-use site concept.

"It might look obvious right now (because of the construction), but when you stood on this site two and a half years ago, you could tell the land was just begging for it, so this is really cool to see it happening."

Pricing for the small-bay commercial flex strata properties for retail starts at $379,000.
