You can forget about getting a $10 million home on Kelowna's waterfront for pennies on the dollar.
The property at 4358 Hobson Rd., with an assessed value of $10.5 million, made the news recently after it showed up on the city's tax sale roster.
Properties, both residential and commercial, are placed on the list if the owners are delinquent in their property taxes over three years.
That specific property is no longer on the tax sale list.
At the time, Angie Schumacher in the city's tax department said the bulk of the $161,637.85 owing was for the first two years of the three-year cycle.
She said the owners only needed to come up with about $2,000 to get the home removed.
The tax sale is set for 10 a.m. next Monday in city council chambers.
There are still 38 properties on the list, however, Schumacher says most owners satisfy the outstanding bill before the sale.
