Tees off with huge donation

Orchard Park shopping centre's annual charity golf tournament pulled in a whopping $105,420 for the Canadian Mental Health Association.

The fifth annual event has now raised a total of $453,409 since its inception.

"The team from Orchard Park Shopping Centre and Primaris Management thanks sponsors, supporters, and volunteers that help us make this event the success that it is," said marketing manager Vikki Webster.

"Awareness around mental health continues to grow as more and more people discuss their struggle, or the struggle of those they love. We believe that taking the conversation from a whisper to a roar is how we help ourselves, our loved ones, our employees, and our community. We are proud to take a leadership role in this cause."

The donation will go towards CMHA Kelowna’s latest initiative, called Discovery College, which offers a way for anyone to be empowered to take on what life throws their way.
