Free legal advice will be offered to low-income Kelowna residents at an outdoor event on Tuesday.
Volunteer lawyers will gather at the City Park rose garden from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering pro bono advice in all areas of law for residents who require assistance.
This includes matters related to family, employment, civil, residential tenancy, human rights, immigration and debt/collections law.
Hosted by Access Pro Bono, the multi-city event aims to raise awareness of limited access to justice issues for low-income residents in B.C.
In the past year, several hundred lawyers have provided free legal services to thousands of low-income B.C. residents through APB programs, ranging from summary advice to full representation.
