UBCO is welcoming new students to campus on Tuesday morning, along with a funding announcement from Santa Ono, the UBC president.
During Tuesday's welcoming ceremony at 9 a.m. a special announcement will be revealed before the 'Create' student orientation program kicks off.
Students are encouraged to participate in the orientation activities which will help welcome students and inspire them for a new school year.
The ceremony takes place in the gym where the announcement will be revealed, regarding the UBC's ambitious Blue & Gold Campaign for Students.
After the kickoff completes, students are able to meet their professors, tour the area, and ask any questions they still might have.
To conclude the day, 'Showcase' will take place at 1 p.m. where local businesses, charities, clubs, unions and partners will be promoting their services.
