Rutland murals shine

A new art project has launched in Kelowna, bringing five new murals to the Rutland business improvement area.

Organized by Uptown Rutland Business Association, the project is aiming to bring beauty to the community while encouraging involvement and walkability within the area, while also educating youth through the implementation of public contemporary art.

The project includes work from Kevin Ledo, Sandeep Johal, Taka Sudo and Maxilie Martel, Jorden Doody and David Doody.

On Friday, a public artisan market will be held on the new Shepherd Road bus loop in front of Kevin Ledo's mural, from noon to 6 p.m.
