The detached garage at 320 Mills Road caught fire Saturday morning.
A detached garage at a Rutland home caught fire Saturday morning, but quick work from firefighters kept the blaze from spreading.
Just before 8 a.m., the Kelowna Fire Department was alerted to black smoke coming from a garage at a home at 320 Mills Road, just east of Highway 97.
Upon arrival, firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the blaze inside the garage, located at the back of the home.
No one was home at the residence when the fire occurred.
KFD Platoon Captain Dennis Miller says the while the investigation into the cause is underway, the fire is not considered suspicious.
