Rowcliffe Park opens

Rowcliffe Park, part of Kelowna's Central Green development, has reopened after completion of Phase 2 of construction.

“As a community-level park in Kelowna, Rowcliffe Park has a lot to offer residents,” says Brian Beach, infrastructure delivery manager.

“Many have already started using the redeveloped dog park, and with most of the park now complete, we’re sure it will continue to be well-used.”

Phase 1, including construction of an accessibility playground, was completed in 2017.

The most recent phase included a community garden, open grass field, additional walkways and a redeveloped off-leash dog park. It cost $1.4 million to complete.

The final phase will include road frontage improvements such as a new sidewalk, drainage, and turfed and treed boulevards. It will be done as soon as budget is provided by city council.

The park will be officially opened Saturday.
