Rutland May Days is here

Madison Erhardt

Rutland May Days are back for the long weekend.

May Days is Kelowna's longest-running family festival.

''We are in the Roxby parking lot this year and the Rutland Centennial Hall, and midway is in the parking lot,'' said event planner Lesley Golnik.

May Days is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

The parade is back on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. It will move along Rutland Road between McCurdy Road and Highway 33, with rolling road closures from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

''We just held a contest of people expressing their favourite memories over the last 60 years. It's going to be really nice to have people who have been here through all 60 years,'' Golnik added.
