Mild week ahead

The Okanagan is in for a mild week ahead according to Environment Canada.

''We have an average high this time of year of 15 C and we will be within a couple of degrees of it through the week and then above it for the weekend,'' said meteorologist  Bobby Sekon.

Tuesday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 14 C.

Wednesday is looking beautiful with a high of 18 C and sunshine.

Thursday is calling for showers and a high of 19 C.

More showers are on the way for Friday and Saturday with a high of 15 C.

Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 17 C.

Freezing levels are expected to drop tomorrow night which may lead to slippery conditions on highway passes.

''For the Hope to Merritt route there could be some snow near the summit so Tuesday night it's going to be something to watch out for,''Sekon added.
