It's as easy as pi(e)!

If you ever needed an excuse to eat a piece of pie, what better reason than to celebrate Pi Day? 

Observed on March 14, Pi Day mimics the first three numbers of the mathematical constant pi – 3, 1, and 4.

To celebrate the delicious day, Kelowna Museums set up shop at the Laurel Packinghouse with an assortment of savoury pies. 

''We think the perfect place to eat pie is at the Laurel because this is a place that is all about local fruit, local food and sustainable eating,'' said Linda Digby, executive director of Kelowna Museums.

''Pie enthusiasts are also able to explore the history of orchards and wineries from around the area,'' Digby added.
