Big White Ski Resort's new Powder Chair is set to open this Friday.
Crews load tested the $4-million chairlift this week.
Resort vice-president Michael J. Ballingall says the testing went "very well," and the lift will open at 9 a.m. Friday.
Souvenir pins will be handed out to the first 50 riders on Friday, and 100 more on Saturday.
The mountain's Alpine T-Bar will also open Friday morning, opening up more runs for skiers hungry for Big White's famous "champagne powder."
