Mild weather ahead

Madison Erhardt

Don't be discouraged by the snow on the ground this morning – milder temperatures are on the way, according to Environment Canada.

"We are going to have a system come through starting overnight tonight that will drop a couple of centimetres in a few places. Tuesday will be most of the system, where we will get two to four centimetres fall, and then warming up for Wednesday," says meteorologist Bobby Sekhon.

Today should peak at a high of 4 C, with a chance of wet flurries this evening.

Tuesday is forecast to reach a high of 1 C, with cloudy periods and flurries. About two to four centimetres more snow is expected to fall across the Okanagan.

Wednesday should see showers and a high of 4 C.

But, Thursday is looking like the nicest day of the week, with a mix of sun and cloud and a forecast high of 4 C.

Friday and Saturday should see periods of rain mixed with snow and similar temperatures.

Rain is forecast all day for Sunday, with a high of 4 C.
