Bid on diamonds, save lives

Bid on diamonds – and save lives.

Castanet and Premier Jewellery and Loans have partnered for the third annual diamond earring fundraiser for the Kelowna Women's Shelter.

The earrings are appraised at $10,300. Bidding starts at $500, now through Dec. 20.

All proceeds will go to helping women and children escape domestic violence.

''We will use this money to support our outreach program, which gives free counselling to women and children who need the support,'' says executive director Karen Mason.

Last year's auction raised $4,000 for this worthy cause.

The beautiful 14-carat, white gold, four-prong settings with screw backs are a great gift for the holidays.
