Ready for robot co-workers?

UBC Okanagan will host a symposium next week that will examine the future of the work world when it comes to humans and machines.

Experts in public policy, higher education and international business will be part of the conference, which is slated for next Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The first part will be held at UBCO’s University Centre Ballroom, and the evening portion will take place at the Okanagan Innovation Centre in downtown Kelowna.

UBC Okanagan students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to attend the symposium at the university, which will include a luncheon and presentations. A panel discussion and reception will take place at the Innovation Centre in the evening.

The event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. That can be completed here for the morning session and here for the evening reception.
