Tense landing at YLW

Emergency crews scrambled at Kelowna International Airport, Thursday.

The pilot of a privately owned single-engine Quest Kodiak alerted the tower of a potential mechanical issue at 10:32 a.m.

“As a safety precaution, emergency response teams were dispatched for the standby,” a YLW spokesperson said.

Firefighters were dispatched to the airport as a precaution.

The aircraft landed safely at 10:37 a.m. with no disruption to scheduled flights at the airport.
