Driver pulled a U-turn

UPDATE 11:45 a.m

The driver of the school bus involved in a collision on Chute Lake Road Friday morning tells Castanet there were no children on board the bus at the time of the accident.

"There was no children, thank God," Christine Reimann said. "I was on my way to pick up a load of high school kids and the lady driver (in the SUV) was headed into town, when she decided at the last moment to pull a U-turn right in front of me."

Reimann says she had just dropped off a group of younger students at  Anne McClymont Elementary School.

Reimann has a bit of advice for drivers on Lakeshore Road: "Slow down and give yourselves extra time to get where you're going in the mornings."
