Gas tanks drilled into

Police are asking witnesses or anyone with surveillance cameras to come forward after fuel tanks in vehicles were drilled into.

Firefighters responded to the 3100 block of Walnut Street just after 7 a.m., to find a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a GMC Sierra pickup leaking fuel.

“An investigation revealed that an unknown person or persons drilled into the fuel tanks of both (pickups),” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

Firefighters worked to prevent further fuel from leaking and cleaned up the hazardous material.

In February, two work vehicles had their gas tanks emptied after holes were drilled into them while parked near Reid's Corner.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact RCMP citing file no. 2018-39602.
