A man facing a first-degree murder charge was granted bail Wednesday morning in Kelowna Supreme Court.
Jared Jorgenson, 27, is one of three men facing murder charges in the death of 20-year-old Michael Bonin, whose body was found on the morning of April 20, 2017 on Peers Creek Forest Service Road.
Jorgenson, Ryan Watt and Joshua Fleurant were arrested in January.
On Wednesday, Justice Janice Dillon released Jorgenson from custody on $35,000 bail. His bail conditions include a curfew from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The details of the case and reasons for Justice Dillon's decision are protected under a publication ban.
Watt and Fleurant remain in custody. They're expected to appear in court for an arraignment hearing on July 9.
A trial date has not been set.

One of the men charged in an April 2017 murder near Hope is seeking bail, five months after he was arrested.
Jared Jorgenson, 27, was arrested in January 2018 along with two other men in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Michael Bonin.
Bonin's body was found on the morning of April 20, 2017 on a forest service road north of Hope.
Almost nine months after the discovery, first-degree murder charges were laid against Jorgenson, 26-year-old Ryan Watt and 20-year-old Joshua Fleurant.
Jorgenson has remained in custody since his arrest, but applied for bail Tuesday. The Crown opposed the application.
In Kelowna Supreme Court, Jorgenson's defence argued for his release on strict conditions, but Justice Dillon said she would need to “sleep on it.”
She's expected to deliver her decision Wednesday morning.
Several of Jorgenson's family members attended the hearing Tuesday.
The details of the case heard during the hearing are protected under a publication ban, to preserve the accused's right to a fair trial.
Jorgenson's co-accused, Watt and Fleurant, remain in custody. They are scheduled for an arraignment hearing on July 9, where they're expected to enter their pleas.
A trial date has not yet been set for any of the accused.
In January, after the charges were laid, Bonin's mother Annette said her son was a “helpful and loyal young man who had lots to live for” and said the pain of losing her son would never go away.
