Racing fans and drivers were revved up for the 61st annual Knox Mountain Hill Climb on Saturday.

Those with a need for speed packed Kelowna's Knox Mountain Park as drivers raced against the clock to be the fastest to the summit.

Racers from across  B.C., Alberta, and the U.S. participated.

Harry Cadell is a racer from Seattle who has been behind the wheel for more than 40 years.

"I went up with the first group on Saturday. It went well. My tires are brand new, and they stuck great," Cadell said.

"Last year, on Sunday, it rained, so it's been a great weekend so far," Cadell added.

In addition to the time trials, Knox Mountain Park is also hosting a car show, where dozens of classics, imports, hot rods and exotics are on display.

The racers are back in action today, until 6 p.m.
