Flipped on Hwy 97

Two people are lucky to be alive after a serious rollover on Highway 97 near Crystal Waters Road in Lake Country.

Castanet content director Jon Manchester came upon the scene of the incident and saw, "a silver Ford Focus on its roof in the ditch."

Manchester says both the driver and his wife made it out of the vehicle on their own accord.

"They were passing a one-ton welding truck when a deer jumped out. When they swerved to avoid the deer, they hit the truck and wound up flipped over in the ditch."

The compact car is missing two wheels, and both the husband and wife were visibly shaken.

The welding truck had only minor damage.

The deer bounded off, unhurt.
