Mobile abortion billboard

A truck spotted driving around Kelowna is causing a stir among some residents.

The Kelowna Right to Life Society launched a new moving billboard on April 8 in hopes of "exposing pro-life messages to thousands of locals and visitors."

The truck is so far being driven around Kelowna two days a week.

According to organizers, the messages will vary and will include controversial images of aborted fetuses.

“A help number will be displayed on all the messages so those who are struggling with a past abortion or a crisis pregnancy situation can call to get help,” reads a statement from the organization.

A Facebook post about the new truck has sparked more than 1,000 reactions and numerous comments.

Many people said they were "disgusted" by the truck's images and that is is "offensive" and a "disgrace."

“The society owns the truck and plans to utilize it as a permanent mobile billboard that adds another dimension to its educational outreach to the community,” the group says.
