For the first time in school history the KSS Owls senior girls’ basketball team are BC Provincial champions.
Last weekend they answered their critics and held the high powered Walnut Grove (Langley) Gators in check beating them 67-61. One of the stars for the Owls was grade 12 student athlete Taya Hanson who dropped 19 points in the gold medal game and was named a tournament MVP.
Back home the Owls are still flying high as Taya came by the Castanet studios and spoke with Ryan Watters.
