Busting through goals!

This year's Strides To End Homelessness was a huge success raising more money than ever before. This year the event raised $54,776 and those who participated tell Castanet they really enjoyed themselves.

Randy Benson, Executive Director of Kelowna Gospel tells Castanet, “we are so excited about the community involvement and support that we received for Strides.  Kelowna is a great city and this is evidence of its caring for our people in need.”

Stephanie Ostash, a volunteer with Kelowna Gospel Mission says, "On behalf of the Kelowna Gospel Mission, to all of the staff, volunteers, supports and sponsors, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This event would not be possible without each and every one of you."

This year,  250 walkers took part along with 27 teams. Happy Feet finished as the top team raising, $10,037. Stephanie Ostash was the top fundraiser, raising $7,500 for a grand total of  $54,776 raised, that's 122% of the goal set.
