The Okanagan is in the pink today!

The 4th Annual Pink Shirt Day Breakfast presented by the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs’ annual kindness movement gets underway this morning and is sold out.

Castanet's Madison Erhardt is at the breakfast Wednesday morning and she will have a full report later in the day.

The message according to Diane Entwistle, CEO of the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club's is simple, "It feels good to belong. To find a group who laughs at your jokes, are interested in the same things you are, treat each other with respect and kindness, and have your back. You feel happy, included, a sense of connection, strength, valued and safe."

Lots of pink shirts on the slopes today as well, Big White put together a video which they say shows how much they care about the community.

At this morning's breakfast, Mayor Colin Basran will officially proclaim today as Pink Shirt Day - Kindness Day and guest speaker - Beth Hanishewski will talk about Resiliency in the Real World.
