A man involved in a live sex-show that turned into a robbery at a condo near UBC Okanagan campus appeared in court Monday.
Cal Douglas Little, 52, and Heather Nystrom, 25, were hired to perform a live sex show on the evening of July 13, 2016.
The pair were found on a classified site advertisement and agreed to a one hour show for $400.
Surveillance footage from the building showed three people walking through the condo’s hallway with a blue duffle bag in Little’s hand.
Little came out of the bedroom with a sawed-off shotgun and a knife saying “this is a robbery” as Nystrom closed the blinds.
The man told the couple he only had the money they agreed upon and managed to escape.
His cellphone and $400 was stolen.
Nystrom and Little were both arrested two days later and found with shotguns, ammunition, a bag of 20 cellphones and cocaine.
Little was wanted by RCMP on several outstanding warrants related to robbery, firearms and drug offences after skipping bail.
Nystrom, his co-accused, received five years in jail for her part in the bizarre incident.
On Jan. 14, 2018, a police foot pursuit ensued when he was spotted near Ethel street and Little was arrested and held in custody.
Little appeared by video in a red jumpsuit with his arms crossed on Monday.
The matter is adjourned until March 12 at the Kelowna Law Courts. Little will remain in custody.
