Highway 33 reopens

Highway 33 is now fully open after a vehicle incident 15 km north of the junction with Big White Road.

UPDATE 10:59 a.m.

Highway 33 remains closed in both directions15 km north of the junction with Big White Road because of Vehicle Incident. Detour is available at Goudie Road.

UPDATE 10:40 a.m.

Highway 33 on the way to Big White is closed at this hour due to a multi vehicle pile-up. Emergency crews are on scene trying to clear the highway.

UPDATE 10:32 a.m.

Overnight snow is slowing traffic down on roads around the Okanagan.

We are getting reports of a 3 vehicle pile-up on the way to Big White, just before the Big White Road turn off.

You are urged to drive with caution and adjust your speed to winter driving conditions

Emergency crews on scene of a multi-vehicle pile-up in the 1600 block of highway 97 this morning.

Traffic is stacking up around Boucherie road on the other side of the lake this morning as well.
