A much-needed new middle school could be coming to Lake Country.
Premier John Horgan and Education Minister Rob Fleming will be in Lake Country for an announcement Thursday afternoon.
According to a government news release, the announcement is about making life better for students and families in Lake Country.
The event begins at 1 p.m. at Davidson Road Elementary.
A new middle school in Lake Country has been one of the priorities for School District 23 for a number of years.
Prior to the last provincial election, the ruling Liberals announced plans for a new middle school were being moved along in the pipeline.
Then secretary-treasurer Larry Paul told Castanet at the time the Lake Country project was just waiting for treasury board approval.
The project has been costed out at $27.1 million.
