Rollover on Glenmore

UPDATE 8:40 a.m.

A woman is lucky to be safe and sound after a single vehicle rollover on Glenmore Road at Slater.

A black Chevy Sonic lost control, went through a fence and landed on its roof. Emergency crews responded and managed to get the lone occupant, a female, out of the vehicle. She suffered only minor injures.

Police say road conditions at the time were slippery. There is light snow and spots of black ice, making things slippery in spots. Traffic is moving again through the area.

You're advised to slow down and adjust your driving to the conditions.

ORIGINAL 8:20 a.m.

Emergency response and fire crews are enroute to a rollover on Glenmore Road near Slater Road, north of McKinley Landing, near the Kelowna-Lake Country border.

Eagle-eyed Castanet contributor Dave Ogilvie says traffic is backing up in the area and the incident looks to be causing delays in both directions.

Officials say they may have to extricate the driver.

More to come.
