Washrooms in most parks across Kelowna are now closed for the season.

The same holds for water fountains, including water at off-leash dog parks across the city.

The move comes as winter approaches and temperatures drop, to prevent pipes from freezing during the cold winter months.

Washrooms at both Stuart and Gerstmar parks remain open year-round.

Washrooms at City Park are also available for use throughout the year, however, they are currently closed for repairs.

Work is expected to be complete sometime in November.

All washrooms and water fountains are expected to open in early April, weather permitting.
