Sound off on tax changes at a town hall meeting hosted by Tory MP Dan Albas.
Albas (Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola) will host the Oct. 12 gathering at the Kelowna campus of Okanagan College, in the trades atrium, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The proposed tax changes "will affect many small businesses, professionals and farmers across this region. In addition, recent changes to the mortgage rules and CMHC are making it harder for Canadians to qualify to buy a home," Albas said in statement to media.
"This town hall is open to all who want to share their stories and views on how these tax and mortgage changes will affect them, their businesses and their entrepreneurial aspirations.
“As the federal government contemplates unprecedented tax changes and makes changes to mortgage lending rules, it is a critically important time for Canadians, small businesses owners and future entrepreneurs to share their views.”
