Missing man found

UPDATE: 10:25 a.m.

Kelowna RCMP say a 64-year-old man who went missing Sunday evening has been found.


ORIGINAL: 7:30 a.m.

A 64-year-old Kelowna man has been reported missing. 

RCMP received a report of a missing Kelowna resident who allegedly walked away from a residential care home in the 300 block of Ziprick Road in Kelowna.

Daniel Albert Wilkie was last seen at the care facility at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.

A person who knows Wilkie may have spotted him at a business in the 2400 block of Highway 97 about 6:30 p.m.

RCMP received the missing person’s report early Monday. 

Police are very concerned for Daniel Wilkie’s health and well-being as he reportedly suffers from a medical condition which can cause him to appear confused and disorientated.

Wilkie is described as a Caucasian male, 64 years old, six feet tall, 161 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black leather jacket, sweater, and grey baseball cap.
