Riders on home stretch

The Cops for Kids riders are past their halfway mark and will return to Kelowna this weekend.

The 25 cyclists hit the road Sept. 8 and will ride through Kamloops, Friday, on their tour of the Southern Interior.

During their 10-day fundraising journey, they've crossed challenging terrain in the Okanagan, Kootenays and Thompson regions.

Since 2001, the group has raised more than $4 million to help local children facing illness, disability or traumatic crisis.

The riders will arrive back in Kelowna on Sunday, about 11:30 a.m., at the Ramada Hotel.
