Regan and Charity Edser won't forget the birth of their son anytime soon.
Or maybe that should be sun?
The Lake Country couple welcomed baby Niall Apollo Edser into the world on Monday, during the solar eclipse. He is their first child.
"Apollo is the Greek god of the sun, and it seemed like a good fit for the eclipse," said Regan.
"His mum went through a long labour, starting overnight Saturday."
The due date was actually Aug. 27, but baby Apollo made an early appearance at 9:37 a.m. at Kelowna General Hospital, coinciding with the beginning of the celestial event.
All parties are reportedly healthy and happy.
