Police have set up a tip line to find out who started last weekend's devastating wildfire in Okanagan Centre.
RCMP continue to investigate the blaze, which destroyed eight homes and a garage.
The dedicated tip line has been set up to encourage anyone with information to contact police – its number is 250-707-8025.
The fire quickly spread uphill from Okanagan Centre Road, burning dwellings on Nighthawk Road and cresting the hill, burning into Jack Seaton Park and forcing the evacuation of 331 properties.
“Resources from Lake Country, Kelowna and the (RCMP's) South East District have been pooled to conduct an in-depth investigation and fully determine the cause of the fire,” Cpl Dan Moskaluk said Friday.
“At this time, we are treating this fire as suspicious and believe it to be human caused.
"As is the case with many investigations, it is information from the public that solves them."
