Lake falls another 2cm

Okanagan Lake continues to drop towards what is considered normal levels for this time of year.

As of 5:25 this morning, the level of Okanagan Lake had dropped another 2.1 centimetres from the same point yesterday.

It now sits at 342.927 metres above sea level. That's almost 45 centimetres above full pool.

Kalamalka Lake dipped 1.1 centimetres from Wednesday. The level is now 392.153 centimetres above sea level, about 46 centimetres above full pool.

With conditions as they currently are, it's anticipated Okanagan Lake should hit full pool levels before the end of the month.

The anticipated window is between July 23 and 28.

As levels fall mitigation measures are systematically being removed from around properties no longer in danger.

Beaches around the Central Okanagan will open as the lake lowers. All beaches will open and water activities will return to normal once the lake falls to full pool.
