Castanet's new home

Work is progressing rapidly on Castanet's new downtown Kelowna headquarters.

Ground was broken in September, and the old barbershop building on Lawrence Avenue demolished.

Windows are going in, bricklayers are adding the heritage-style fascia, and crews from Worman Homes are busily working on interior walls.

It's starting to look more like the media centre it will become.

Castanet's studios will occupy most of the two storeys, with a retail rental space opening out to the city parking lot at Lawrence and Ellis Street. A third-storey penthouse will be set back, providing a large rooftop patio for hosting news and client events.

Castanet should be moving in to the new building by late summer or early fall.
