Cyclist, pedestrian struck

A cyclist and a pedestrian were reported to have been hit by vehicles in two separate incidents in Kelowna on Saturday.

Last night, emergency crews were called out at 9:49 p.m. after a 28-year-old woman riding a bike was struck by a car turning left off Burtch Road onto Springfield Road.

The fire department reported the victim was conscious and breathing when the crew arrived.

Just after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, crews were called out after a pedestrian was reported struck by a vehicle on the 700 block of Leon Avenue.

The 32-year-old female victim was conscious and breathing, according to a fire department report.

No other details are available.

A call has been placed to the Kelowna Fire Department for more details.
