Accelerate Okanagan’s Summer Block Party at the end of this month is promising to be a parking lot party like no other.
On Aug. 26, AO is throwing a large summer block party to bring together technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and supporters of the Okanagan tech community.
Organizers promise those in attendance will not go hungry with four different kinds of tacos, beer, wine and cider provided by The Flask Social House, plus non-stop fun activities that include bocce ball, caricatures and an inflatable jousting arena.
The block party is set to connect the who’s who in the tech community, help AO say goodbye to its current location and celebrate the big move into the Okanagan Centre for Innovation and let participants meet some of the companies that are rapidly growing in our community including FreshGrade, WTFast, Bananatag, Community Sift and Data Nerds.
The block party runs on Friday, Aug. 26 from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Accelerate Okanagan parking lot on St. Paul Street.
Tickets are already 60 per cent sold out, the rest are available online now for $45 and include a drink, food and activities.
