A Vernon woman has a warning for other parents -- keep an eye on what your children are doing on the computer.
Wendy Whelan is issuing the warning following a bizarre incident where someone tapped into her computer and made contact with her young daughter.
The ordeal began last March when Whelan's computer was sent to Radio Shack in Vernon to be fixed.
She got the computer back a few days later and her daughter was chatting with her friends on MSN Messenger when a strange message popped up.
That message was from the technician at Radio Shack who fixed her computer.
The daughter asked the tech how he got her name. He replied,” I don't get a chance to talk to people once their stuff is fixed just when they are pissed off so if this bugs you, I'm gone. I don't want to creep you out."
Whelan intervened and asked the tech why he was on her daughter's MSN.
The man replied, "I saw her MSN, so I jotted it down. I'm not some creepy guy. I don't do this morally."
But what really alarmed Whelan is the fact the man left his cell phone number and asked her daughter to call him.
The tech has been fired and police are calling it an isolated incident.
