Cyclist killed in crash

One man is dead following a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist.

Kelowna RCMP Const. Jesse O'Donaghey confirms one man has been killed as a result of a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle, Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Banks and Baron roads about 3 p.m.

O'Donaghey said the driver of the vehicle has remained at the scene and is co-operating with police.

No other details have been released.

RCMP have closed off Banks Road between Baron and Highway 97 while they investigate the crash.

A traffic reconstructionist is heading to the scene.
